Summer of Crysis: Crysis Marathon
Welcome to the long awaited (by us) Crysis Marathon. Crysis is a game which I have wanted to feature on HPAW since it came out, however, my PC never had the power until now. It wasn’t that my computer couldn’t handle Crysis at max settings, it’s that it couldn’t handle recording Crysis at the same time. The framerate was just to low to even play.
Now a new video card and quad core cpu later, the problem with recording is not “gone” but now the game remains playable. Turning down the settings was always an option but I don’t think anything but max settings really show off the true beauty and excellent design that Crysis has to offer. To compliment this I am using better encoding settings than normal, including a raised bitrate and a slower, higher quality encoding method.

The marathon features Mempf, Teclis and Kaisuke and runs from the start of the game until the end. Parts will be split up in 40-45min sections due to a potential YouTube HD bug we are working around. As usual parts will be uploaded one by one over the course of the coming weeks.

hey I was wondering why i cant watch it i click to download it and it just says save or find and there’s no sugested player do you no what i can download to let me watch it

i just got a better game card and grafics and im having a blast but that good have fun i know i will.
this is the first time i’ve seen crysis in action and it looks sweet, although the video is slowing my video player so much its like its lagging the video to death. any suggestions?
yeah the quicktime ver lagged like hell for me, so now I save the link and play it with VLC player. Loving the marathon so far, can’t wait for the next part!
