Poll of the Week: June 27th

Category: News,Polls

The return of the poll! I need help in determining what filesize (which relates directly to video quality) we should use to appeal to the largest number of people. We currently have a guideline not to pass the 1.5GB/video mark. The main considerations are how much disk space people have (if they can store it), their internet download rate (how fast they can get the episode), and their internet download cap (how much they can download in a month). So please answer our simple poll so we can figure this out and deliver the highest quality to the most people.

How large (filesize) should HPAW episodes/marathon parts be? (HD version)

For me quality is all that matters. Having no download caps and a pretty fast connection (8mbit) means i don’t have to worry about file size.

quality is the most important for me too. I dont care if the file would be 3-4 gigs i would still download it.

me is anything up to either 1GB or 1.5GB. i have a mac so the size of a file is something I worry about.

Been lurking around for a while now and I finally decided to post, yeah I am lazy 😛

I enjoyed all the HPAW videos greatly. Honestly, I think viewing the videos in youtube is really not doing the hardwork that you guys do for each video justice.

Esp. for us “slaves to work” who doesn’t have the time to enjoy all the good games out there, high quality versions of the videos are all extremely valuable.

While on the subject of videos, may I recommend that the ingame audio be as loud as (or louder than) the voice(s) from you guys (the players).

Esp. for games with good stories, it would be awesome to be able to heal the in game banters and dialogs.

thanks and keep up the great work!

For me i would say keep it where it is,because the works for me well enough….although for the ipod versions of some(not all) it just has a black screen with only audio not video,so it you might want to look into it,also i recently tried watching the mass effect marathon and found when i tried to download it or play it from my iphone it would
say the file was damaged for about half the parts, these parts also didnt work on youtube, that might also be something to look intk
