Poll of the Week: August 12th
This weeks poll comes from WorldGone Awry who wants to know which gun you prefer, the M16 or AK47 assault rifle.

AK47 because it can still work even if you put sand in it, throw it, put it in water etc.
The M16 has better accuracy than the AK47’s. But in power comparison the AK47 beats the M16 any day. So Im into accuracy and other people are in to power. So I go with the M16. Here is a video i found about the M16 and the AK47. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G6BpI3xD6h0
Yea I have to go with the accuracy of the m16. I mean it really doesn’t matter how powerful the bullet is, one will usually do the job. but I would choose the AS50 semi-auto sniper rifle personally…
i like the M16 better cause i use it in like every game i have and ive actully used it at a shooting range and it seemed better to me
m16 looks cooler =) ak47 looks like some terrorist gun.
My knowledge of firearms isn’t really extenisve, since I’m more of a blade connisseur. But I do know a bit about both of these guns, and my preference would be the M16. It’s got a more streamlined look and, IIRC, it suffers less from recoil than the AK-47 does.
the m16 has good accuracy than the AK47, the AK47 has great power and can be good 4 a sniper to hold with single shot on and a nice scope, problem is AK47s round cant go far and powerful.so the m16 would kill the ak any day.
Like the above video hints at; it is very unfortunate that the AK-47 is widely known as the “bad guy’s” gun. I’ve known a vet from the Vietnam War (I know it sounds like a “I know this guy and he says so I’m right” statement, but, its not. There is nothing worse you can do than not conceive the possibility of you being wrong. Unfortunately, most people find this hard because its against the Human Condition) and he said that he couldn’t stand the M-16 due to the fact that was stated above; that if sand gets into it, or it gets wet, it stops working. As well as it takes forever to clean.
Personally, I would go with the AK-47. See the video I posted above to see some reasons why. Besides, its been upgraded and will continue to be upgraded into better versions, like the current upgraded AK-47 to the AK-74.
The US Military recommends the AK47 so much that they said if you find one just drop the weapon you have at that time and pick up the AK47. So, I go with the AK47.
both are my favorite guns but i say the m16
M16 because its more acurate and has less recoil than the AK47 but the AK47 is also a good gun because of its power.
the AK-47 is better because it may be inaccurate its power and automatic fire, It can be modded Like Larry Phillips(Robber from the high incident bandits), Drum Mags and Steel plated bullets (armor piercing)
So the M16 may be more accurate and reliable while AK has power and reliability
But if Other choices were there Id choose the SA80, M4, AUG, G3A3
Both Ak47 and M16 are good but I’m going with the M16.
What an interesting poll for this week…
it does depend on model of m16, the M16-A2 is by far a better choice becuase of its easily mdifiable accessories, including multiple scopes, multiple barrel atachments, and launchers. THere is a reason its still being used by alot of the UN forces.

ak47 is one of the best assult rifles out there, the m16 has been regarded as one of the worst assult rifles out there, it was used in vietnam thanks to a a political thing and the vietcong wouldnt even pick em up off of dead americans, it was prone to jamming and had low case space so if sand or mud got in, it wouldnt work , the ak47 is a better gun
AK for pure reliability and familiarity, if I was outfitting some kind of rebel militia to bring down the government of my town (which I’m not, honest) the AK would be my choice.

I perfer the M16 its more like a rifle than an automatic gun it depends what you use it for in some cases the AK47 can be better but I’d much rather use an M16.
In all honesty, I choose the AK47. Mostly for the reasons that’ve already been stated here.
Now, if it were an M4A1 rather than an M16, I would choose the M4.
